Sam Billings International Career
He was first called to the England performance program in 2014 and attended a training camp in Sri Lanka during the represented English winter. He played for the England age group at the under-17 and under-18 levels before the ECB Under-16 side in 2006 and the England Under-19 tour of Bangladesh in 2009.
He was named in the squad for the England Lions cricket team in the 2014/15 off-season in South Africa, making his debut and scoring 53 against Gauteng Invitation XI in January 2015. Five unofficial one-day internationals on the tour.
In late 2014 he was placed in the provisional squad for the England cricket team ahead of the 2015 Cricket World Cup, replacing injured Craig Kiswater, but was not included in the final squad for the tournament.
